The pages slide out of the top revealing a hiding space within, then pop back in to be (very gently) held in place with magnets.
This edition features a tree with its roots going deep, surrounded by flourishes made up of leaves. It's painted in a variety of greens and burnished in sparkling gold.
The books are approximately 5.25" tall, 4.75 inches wide, and 1.75" deep.
Because of the nature of hand painting, the hand painted versions will be extremely close to the one pictured, but not exact! Each is a one-of-a-kind artwork.

This box is wonderful. A good size to store (hide) things. Maybe if I keep my passport in a cool box I won't lose it between trips? Anyway, super cute design and lovely paint job.
